Hi there!

My name is Shelby. This is my blog about rituals. To me, rituals are daily reminders for our intentions. Our intentions can fluctuate daily, by the way. You can read more about that on my Rituals page.

So how did I get here?

I practice yoga daily. That doesn’t mean I get on my mat everyday, though. Yoga is more than just asana, or physical postures. Yoga is breath. It’s awareness. Yoga is kindness, toward self and others. Yoga is love, yoga is life. And life isn’t always smooth sailing. Sometimes it’s rocky, sometimes it’s an entire year of capsizing. Still, we forge ahead onward and upward.

To help endure life, I’ve picked up some rituals along the way. Some of them I try to implement daily, some of them are annual rituals to look forward to. Rituals come in many forms – movement, food, spirit, nature. Food is a big one for me. My ideal way to share space is a 4-hour long dinner. Taking our time, and of course, lots of courses! I’ve learned that nourishing my body essentially nourishes my entire being. So it’s only fitting that I added recipes to my site.

I want to share my adventures with you – the ebb and flow, the daily grind, all the stuff that make me, and you, human.
