MY FAVORITE HORMONE BALANCING DRINK
When I first moved to San Diego (which was about a month ago at this point) I found the cutest little cafe. It featured tons of lattes, teas, non-espresso drinks, smoothies, oatmeal bowls and more! It was the DREAM. Especially because I avoid coffee, and am super sensitive to caffeine, it was so refreshing to see a full section of their menu dedicated to non-coffee lattes. The ‘Take Flight’ soon became my favorite. And as I do with all my favorite menu items, I tried to recreate it. To my surprise and excitement, it worked!!
It’s full of amazing hormone balancing roots, an adaptogen, some metabolic-firing spices, and it’s paired with whatever your milk of choice is!
- 2 Cup Milk of choice*
- 1/8-1/4 TSP Cayenne pepper
- 1/8 – 1/4 TSP Maca root**
- 1-2 TSP Ashwagandha
- 1 – 2 TSP Cacao powder
- Up to 1 TBSP Maple Syrup or Honey (or to taste)
*My favorite is homemade hemp milk! Just add 1 TBSP hemp seeds to 1 1/2 cups of water and blend on HI for 60 seconds.
**Maca is powerful!! Start with about 1/8 tsp for a few weeks before moving up to 1/8.
1. If making hemp milk, start there.
2. Add milk of choice to blender, followed by the rest of the ingredients.
3. Blend for about 30-60 seconds. Pour and enjoy!
